Describe your college experience

It was a very drastic change coming from high school, and I couldn't help but be nervous. I made a strong effort to make friends, and they've been my strongest support throughout college so far. The classes became much more difficult, but given the independence and space, I was able to understand my own study habits and success in my own unique way.

Tip for future students

Try everything you can, even if you're not sure you'd like it; I believe that's what college is all about. Also, don't be afraid to make new friends; people may seem distant, but that's because they're feeling just as nervous as you are. Only you can take control of your life, and it all starts with those first steps.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Organic Chemistry. Although it was my most difficult class, it was the first that really pushed me past my perceived limits. I was able to learn so much in a single semester, and it set me up for success by forcing me to develop strong study habits.

Career goals

I joined a pre-medical club to learn more about orthopedics and physical medicine, since I'm not completely sure about my future. At the moment, I plan to pursue a career in physical therapy. I'm hoping to learn more by volunteering at a physical therapy clinic over the summer.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is doing a fun, spontaneous activity with friends. The kind of night where there's no plan going in, but you leave with everlasting memories and iconic photos. Either that or getting a solid workout in with my closest friends.
