Hi I'm Denae! I'm an out-of-state undergrad student and chose UW because of the vibrant campus life and school spirit that you're practically guaranteed when attending a state school. Honestly, UW is everything I've wanted and more for my college life and I'm so excited to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Although I love UW and feel as though it's the right place for me, you can trust me not to sugarcoating my experiences or advice so far.

Describe your college experience
My college experience has been really good so far. My fall quarter was very fun and I didn't need that much time adjusting to college life, while my winter quarter was also good but a bit overwhelming in terms of coursework and trying to find my people. However, my spring quarter is when I feel as though I really found my footing, close friends, and set myself up for a fun and successful sophomore year.
Tip for future students
- Don't be afraid to go to club meetings or campus events on your own, that's how I met some of my closest friends and there will likely be a lot of people who are attending events alone too! - Go to as many Dawg Daze/orientation/beginning of year events as possible - Make sure you and your roommate are compatible in a lot of important areas such as sleep schedule, beliefs, social life, etc. Also make sure you FaceTime or call your potential roommate rather than just texting so you can get more of a feel for their personality. - Make friends with the people on your floor, you'll likely end up seeing them around campus. a ton
Favorite class
Humanities 101 because of the interdisciplinary approach and the professors' planning and insights made the class something I actually looked forward to.
