Describe your college experience
My transition to USC was both exciting and transformative. Coming from Chicago, I quickly immersed myself in campus life through leadership roles and cultural organizations. I’ve learned how to balance academics with meaningful involvement, build strong relationships with professors and mentors, and take initiative in creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. USC has challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and grow both personally and professionally.
Tip for future students
Get involved early and don’t be afraid to introduce yourself to people. USC is a place where initiative is rewarded. Go to events, talk to professors during office hours, and say yes to opportunities, even if they feel slightly intimidating at first.
Favorite class
Contours of Change in Media and Communication; we talked about a lot of political and governmental topics that I wouldn't have known about if I didn't take the class. The professor was absolutely fearless and told us things that other professors may have shied away from.
Career goals
After college, I hope to work in sports and entertainment law or athlete representation, focusing on brand partnerships and long-term ownership strategy. Long term, I want to help athletes build sustainable wealth beyond their playing careers.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Trying a new restaurant with friends in LA, exploring a new neighborhood, attending a campus event, finding live music in LA to watch, or watching a game.
High school or secondary school
Whitney M. Young Magnet High School (Chicago, IL)
Previous college
Long Beach City College The transfer experience was great! USC has such a large transfer population that I never once felt isolated in my experience. There are many organizations, support systems, and communities for transfer students.
