I am a history major who recently moved to Oregon. I love walking around campus, and hanging out with friends and meeting new people. I love going on hikes and am familiar with nearby trails and the nature around campus. I love exploring all the dorms, as they all have unique communities that make the campus a very fun and lively place. I think the best thing to do on campus is to just walk around, appreciate the scenery, and meet and talk to people.

Describe your college experience

I have loved my transition into college, and have had a pleasant college experience. I find that I have been able to balance my free time, time with friends, and studying quite well. I think that having a well maintained social life is essential for a healthy and fun college experience.

Tip for future students

Talk to people that you sit next to in class, it is the easiest way to make friends. Also go outside a lot, because it is good for your mental health, especially in the winter.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Ancient Greek History. I love history in general, but there is something about ancient Greece that I find especially endearing, especially because it was one of the earliest civilizations in the world.

Career goals

I hope to go onto teaching history, either on a college or high school level.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I prefer to spend my nights talking with friends, or just hanging out with them in general. Though I also like to unwind after busy days by playing Stardew Valley, or reading a book.
