Describe your college experience
I took an almost two year gap after graduating during COVID, and decided to go the ACC to UT transfer route. I was very lucky to have great, supportive professors and friends who helped me along the way with applications, classes, and finding the right path to move forward.
Tip for future students
Start your statement of purpose NOW!! The more time you have to work on it, the more likely you are to have a statement that truly reflects you as a person and a student. Don’t be afraid to take summer courses at community college to knock out your prerequisites.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my pre calculus class due to my incredible professor.
Career goals
I plan to go into research and development in psychology, but I am also considering getting licensed to conduct psychological evaluations and do some expert witness work.
Ideal way to spend a free night
At home cooking dinner and crafting with my cats
High school or secondary school
Austin High School, Austin TX Annie Wright School for Girls, Tacoma WA
Previous college
I transferred to UT from ACC after doing my ~2 years to finish most of my core classes. I ended up spending a fraction of one semester at UT to do so and I highly recommend that path for anyone who struggled in high school like I did.
