Describe your college experience
My transition to college was a big adjustment and taught me a lot about independence, time management, and stepping outside of my comfort zone. Since transferring to UCF, I’ve balanced academics, Air Force ROTC, work, and getting involved on campus, which has helped me grow both personally and professionally. College has challenged me in many ways, but it has also opened opportunities to meet great people, build leadership skills, and create experiences that will help me in the future. My experience so far has shown me that the more involved and open you are, the more you can get out of college.
Tip for future students
Take advantage of all the resources available to you as a student. Use your student ID for discounts, explore campus buildings and services, attend events, connect with professors, and get involved in organizations. College offers more opportunities than just classes, and making use of those resources early can help you grow academically, professionally, and personally. And most importantly, network—get to know people and make a lot of friends. The connections you build in college can open doors, create opportunities, and make your experience much more enjoyable.
