Hi, my name is Noelle, and I am currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Environmental Sciences. My major is in Apparel & Textiles, with a concentration in Fashion Retailing. Additionally, I am pursuing a minor in General Business to broaden my knowledge in both fashion and business. I take courses across multiple college programs at the University of Alabama, including the College of Human Environmental Sciences, the Culverhouse College of Business, and the Honors College. This gives me a unique perspective on the different paths one can take in college. I also have friends studying within the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Communication & Information Sciences. In terms of student involvement, I have experience in a sorority, a club, and an organization on campus. I also have work experience in downtown Tuscaloosa, so I can provide insights into both campus life and the surrounding community. Describe your college experience

My college experience has been filled with both highs and lows. My freshman and sophomore years were particularly confusing as I navigated changes in my concentration and added a minor, which altered the course of my college journey. During my sophomore year, I joined a sorority and became more involved on campus. It was in my junior and senior years that I began to learn more about myself and the kind of people I want to surround myself with. So far, I have experienced significant personal and professional growth, and I look forward to continuing that growth until graduation.

Tip for future students

It's okay to feel lost, confused, or stressed during this time, as you're away from home, family, and hometown friends. My best advice is to learn from your mistakes because you're bound to make some along the way, and remember, it's never too late to make a change.

Favorite class

My favorite class would have to be Legal Studies.

Career goals

I hope to find a place in the fashion industry and build a career for myself within it. I am also considering attending graduate school after gaining a few years of work experience, as well as starting my own business.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I enjoy relaxing at home or going out for food and drinks. Attending football, basketball, and baseball games is also a lot of fun. I also love shopping when I have the money.
