Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been an exciting period of growth and independence. Coming to UGA, I had to adjust to a faster academic pace, manage my time more independently, and become comfortable meeting new people and exploring unfamiliar opportunities. Over time, I became more involved on campus and gained a clearer understanding of my academic and career interests, particularly in Management Information Systems, technology, and leadership. College has also pushed me outside of my comfort zone and taught me how to balance academics, extracurricular involvement, friendships, and personal responsibilities. So far, my experience has helped me become more confident, adaptable, and intentional about the opportunities I pursue, and I am excited to continue building on that growth throughout the rest of my time at UGA.
Tip for future students
Get involved early, meet new people, and don’t be afraid to try new things. College goes by fast, so take advantage of every opportunity while enjoying the experience.
Favorite class
I have loved the CS 1302 class especially the format in which it was taught because it ensured all the students were actually learning the curriculum before the coming to the class and practicing further in the class itself.
Career goals
After college, I hope to pursue a career at the intersection of technology, business, and leadership. I am particularly interested in technology consulting and management roles where I can use my background in Management Information Systems to solve real-world business problems. Long term, I hope to grow into a leadership position where I can manage teams, work with emerging technologies such as AI, and help organizations make better strategic decisions.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night is hanging out with friends, grabbing good food, and exploring Athens.
