Tour Guide @ University of Florida with 2+ years of touring experience
My name is Haider, and I’m a sophomore studying Accounting at the University of Florida. I’m involved across campus, from Greek Life to several organizations within the business school. Thanks to my wide network and approachable personality, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how different majors and student paths thrive at UF. I also serve as a Florida Cicerone, which means I’m a trained student ambassador with a deep understanding of campus life and culture. Looking forward to meeting each and every one of y’all.

Describe your college experience
My college experience at the University of Florida has been incredible. I’ve had the freedom to pursue any opportunity that sparked my interest, and I’ve been fortunate to have older students guide me along the way. Whether it was through academics, clubs, or leadership roles, I’ve felt supported and embraced by this campus. I’m proud of how involved I’ve been, but more importantly, I’ve learned a lot from it—lessons about balance, growth, and what it means to really show up. I have a lot to share with incoming freshmen and prospective students, and I’m always excited to help others make the most of their UF experience.
Tip for future students
My tip for any future student is simple: do everything with intention. You don’t need to know exactly what you’ll get out of every opportunity, but whatever you commit to, give it your full effort. Don’t half-ass it. Don’t approach things with a mediocre mindset. If you’re taking on a heavy class schedule, go all in. If you’re chasing a big goal or stepping into a leadership role, show up fully. Intention is what separates going through the motions from real growth. Because action without intention is just wasted energy.

Career goals
My career goal is to be successful in business, even if I’m still figuring out exactly what that looks like. I chose accounting because it’s the language of business and gives me a strong, stable foundation to build on. I’m drawn to all aspects of the business world; whether it’s launching entrepreneurial ventures, analyzing a company’s financial health, or tracking major events like IPOs. That curiosity drives me, and I’m excited to keep learning and finding my path as I go.
