During my time here, I have been involved in research, campus employment, Muslim life, and community-based projects. Describe your college experience

Coming to Connecticut College from Togo meant learning to navigate a new academic culture while living far from my family and everything familiar. I initially struggled to find my place, but relationships with professors, friends, and the Muslim community gradually made Conn feel like home. Through botany research, campus leadership, and community projects, I have become more confident and discovered how my education can support my long-term commitment to agriculture and rural development in Togo.

Tip for future students

If you are community-oriented, the Walter Commons and the Holleran Center will be your friends. Use your career development funds strategically, explore every opportunity available to you, and begin preparing for graduation from your first day. Four years pass in the blink of an eye, so be intentional with your time and classes.

My favorite place on campus is Sprout Garden. I can always find something to do there, whether it is picking berries, pulling weeds, caring for plants, or simply enjoying the view.
