The Freshman Experience
Hello I'm Nalani, a freshman planning to major in Biomedical Engineering. I'm from Williamstown NJ, I moved there during Covid in 7th grade. I was originally from Plainfield, so I'm glad to be back home. As I've said I'm a freshman but don't let my year confuse you, I do a lot of wandering around, purely from zoning out :). So I have ended up in some pretty interesting areas. I also get dragged places by my older friends to cool spots to show you guys. If you have any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

Describe your college experience
My transition wasn't the same as other incoming freshman. These past two summers I've had the opportunity at staying at Rowan for 2 weeks and this past summer I was apart of the EOF program and spent 5 weeks here at Rutgers New Brunswick. These experiences made my transition easy.
Tip for future students
The best thing you can do for yourself no matter what is have a thorough schedule that you follow to a T. Not only is it good for your health, but fixing you circadian rhythm will set you apart from everyone else and better your studies. As someone who has been having to wake up at the crack of dawn for the past 4 years my mother has found that to be why I was so successful in high school. So keeping that same schedule with waking up, and ruling my day whether that be you read, study, just sit in your thought, or for me head to the gym this will give you a very good upper hand for now and for future you.
Favorite class

Career goals
After college I plan to join a R&D company for biomedical engineering. My goal is to improve on medical assistive devices, and improve the lives of those who have to go through life with one.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I spend my nights either walking around the various campuses or relaxing in bed while watching a movie
High school or secondary school
Williamstown High School
Favorite spot on campus
As of right now the Cove in Busch Student Center, I like the chairs they have it's comfortable to sit in while studying outside of my room.
