Describe your college experience

My transition to college was a bit of a learning curve. I did really well in high school, so it was tough at first not to stand out in the same way academically. It's hard being in charge of your own time management, and it is difficult to balance everything. But it comes with time, you learn how to make things work best for you.

Tip for future students

Be social in your classes! Making at least one friend in each class is my biggest tip. It helps with studying, keeps you motivated, and makes it a lot easier to get help if you miss a day of class.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been either general biochemistry or intermediate Italian. General biochemistry was a 4000 level class, so it was very much a learning curve, but learning about the different metabolic pathways was so very cool. And intermediate Italian is kind of a cheat answer-I took that class abroad, so of course it was incredibly fun!

Career goals

I plan to go to veterinary school to be a small animal and exotics veterinarian! And my pipe dream is to own a cat cafe.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Grabbing dinner or just hanging out with friends, then heading home to relax with my pets and watch some TV!
