Rising junior studying Econ at U-M
Hi! My name is Thomas, and I’m a rising junior at the University of Michigan. I’m originally from Denver, Colorado, and I’m majoring in economics here at U-M. I’ve absolutely loved my time at Michigan—there have been some challenges along the way, but the good far outweighs the bad! I’m a member of a professional entrepreneurship fraternity (SEPi), and I also spent some time in a social fraternity. I’m a huge football fan and love cheering on U-M teams across all of our different sports. I’m excited to share my experiences and “expertise” with prospective students and incoming freshmen. There’s a lot to learn, and I have a lot to share!

Describe your college experience
I was really nervous heading into my first year at U-M. I was planning on going to a small school in California, but ended up taking a risk and picking Michigan. The first few weeks were hard, but since then it has been nothing but amazing. U-M challenges me academically but nothing ever feels too hard. I have been able to join some amazing communities and make so many life long friends. I have been able to develop my professional skills and feel equipped and ready for the job recruitment process. Picking Michigan was the best decision I ever made, I absolutely love it here and think you will too.
