Describe your college experience
Starting college was both exciting and challenging for me. Transitioning from high school to college required a lot more independence and responsibility. Especially because my family lives overseas the experience was especially hard. At first, adjusting to a new environment, managing my time, and balancing academics with personal life felt slightly overwhelming. However, over time, I learned how to stay organized, ask for help when needed, and become more confident in handling challenges. Despite all the challenges, it was fun and exciting throughout. Meeting new friends and seeing new things made this first year at Columbia formative and incomparable.
Tip for future students
-engage beyond the classroom -get out of your comfort zone -find time for yourself -sleep is essential
Favorite class
UW, at first I wasn’t too excited about the concentration—which was Climate Humanities. Honestly, I felt unprepared and behind. However, the uncertainty I had made the learning experience more enjoyable. I left the class with challenged ideas about writing, the environment, and what it means to live in the Anthropocene.
Career goals
Lawyer. I am not too sure on concentration or focus but I am compelled by the discipline of law.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I spend it with my roommates lounging on the field or in JJs taking down a milkshake. On my best free nights, exploring the city is a must! :)
