Hi! My name is Jillian, and I’m originally from upstate New York, but Coastal Carolina has truly become my home. I'm a psychology major with on concentration in mental health and I plan to become a mental health therapist. I love spending time around campus, whether I’m starting my mornings at the gym lifting, taking a Pilates class, or hanging out in the library with a coffee. When I’m not on campus, you can usually find me at the beach or relaxing by the pool. I’m outgoing, friendly, and love meeting new people, and I’m excited to share my love for Coastal and help others see why this place is so special to me!

I have absolutely loved my college experience so far, I have met some of the most amazing people, including staff, professors and friends

Tip for future students

The best piece of advice I have for students is to not forget to prioritize yourself. During my freshman year I never said no to hanging out with friends or doing any activities and I forgot to prioritize myself, my alone time and doing the things that are good for my overall health.

Favorite class

Psychology for Stress, I learned so many coping mechanisms and they impact that stress has on yourself as well as other people around you.

Career goals

I plan to get my bachelors in psychology and then get my doctorate to became a mental health profession and eventually because a mental health therapist
