Outgoing pre-med student who stays active on campus and involved

Hey everyone! I’m Isabella! I’m a sophomore here at Rutgers–New Brunswick, and I’m studying Cell Biology and Neuroscience. I’m definitely a really outgoing and social person, so one of my favorite things about Rutgers is that there’s always something going on. I love hanging out with friends, going to events, exploring campus, and just finding random things to do. I also really love being outside, so one of my favorite things is walking the trails around campus. I’ll convince my friends to go on a hike with me and explore different parts of Rutgers. And when I’m not on campus, I love going into New Brunswick. One of our favorite spots is Shinjuku. We’ll literally go there to study, and then take a break to eat unlimited sushi. It’s honestly become one of those places where we’ll just spend hours hanging out and getting work done. I’m really excited to show you guys around and give you a genuine feel for what life at Rutgers is actually like.

Describe your college experience

My college expirence has been very good and I have learned a lot about my future profession as well as myself. Not only do we get an education upon our career of choice but it liberates students to learn more about themselves independently.

Tip for future students

A tip for future students is to not be afraid of putting yourself out there and trying new things as that is the biggest takeaway I have gotten.

Favorite class

Psychopathology, I enjoyed the topic and the teacher was very kind.

I plan on going to medical school and pursuing my aspiration to be a neurosurgeon.

My ideal way to spend a free night is relaxing with my friends or going for a walk as campus is very safe.
