Describe your college experience

Before I came to BYU, I also took a tour here at BYU and it helped me so much! I was way more confident coming to campus on that first day. I have loved coming to BYU ever since. There is no other academic experience that perfectly blends the gospel and love of God with school work. I love being able to sit in my biology class and feel the comforting sense of the spirit. I have especially loved my religion classes and being able to deepen my relationship with my Savior. I recently just returned home from my mission in Armenia/Georgia and am so grateful that I get to come to BYU to continue the journey that I started by serving the Lord.

Tip for future students

I remember how hard it was for me to move down to BYU for the first time. I never expected it to be such a big adjustment for me. I found that as I got more involved in BYU clubs and activities, I felt more at home. My advice to future students would be to try everything! Go to clubs! Go to games! Go to the concerts! Meet new friends! I have never regretted going to a new club activity or event. As students find ways to involve themselves, they will find a sense of belonging and unity here at BYU. I know that as they feel more comfortable with what is offered here at BYU, they can feel empowered to join the community.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been management communications 320! I never realized how poor of communicators we humans are and it has been amazing to learn more about how to become an effective communicator. I have loved being pushed out of my comfort zone to learn how to express myself and make others I am talking to feel at ease. I know that this skill will be useful for the rest of my life in any job situation, even as a tour guide!

Career goals

After college, I would love to become a marketing specialist or analyst. I love to think about how we present ourselves or our brands in certain ways affects how the audience perceives them. It would be an awesome career path. I also love photography and think those two together would make for a successful business. I am getting married this semester and hope to continue to grow my family after college as well.

Ideal way to spend a free night

If I have completed all of my homework, I love to spend time with my friends! I love to play Mahjong, go to BYU sports games, watch movies, bake a sweet treat, or play any sort of game, like Code Names or Secret Hitler!

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the Wilkinson Center! I love it because there are clubs hosted there, the Cougar Eat, shops, and quiet places to study. I can meet so many amazing new friends there and find a space to do school work! There are also offices to receive help, if needed. It is a diverse building with lots of benefits!
