Outgoing Education and History major who knows study spots and resource centers
Hi everyone! my name is Alondra (second year student), and I am a double majoring in Education and History. Here are a few facts about me: I am from Santa Ana (OC), I am involved in a few clubs in campus, my favorite study area would the SIO grass area. Most of the time you might catch me at Geisel One West during study hours for Hermanas Unidas (cultural club), as well as attending their social events like beach hangout, arts and crafts, or pre-professional development events Through this tour, I will show everyone the resource centers (cultural, food resources, G Store, Women's Center) as well as academic resources (OASIS, LATS, TRIO SSS, Career Center), which I encourage everyone to apply to for extra support to help you navigate your college years.

Describe your college experience
First day could be scary however putting yourself out there and meeting new people solves it! Attend as many welcome week events as possiable, make friends with people in your classes and hangout. Explore the city! There is a lot to do and the trolly makes it easier to get to point A to point B. Join clubs that interest you such as major, pre proffesional clubs, hobbies Events: RA events, College events, UCSD events, club events, Beach, Hiking, UTC
Tip for future students
I encourage everyone to meet a lot of people, do not reserve yourself! Make the most of out your pontential! Manage your time it will reduce your stress

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite part is the nice grassy study area outside the SIO department. I enjoy the smell of the beach there is enough shade underneath the trees, reliable wifi/internet, nice breeze, easy to get it and get back to campus (shoutout to SIO shuttle) and destressing during midterms/finals season
Meeting point
Triton Fountain on the University of California San Diego campus
