Hi, I’m Irena! I’m a Business Management major who is so excited to show you around UGA! I’m passionate about meeting new people and having new experiences, as well as service and fitness. I’m more than happy to answer any questions you may have about UGA, its resources, and how campus life really is. I love UGA and the people here, but I’ll also give you honesty. I’m happy to show you gorgeous North Campus gems, our student fitness center, or another underrated location that’s suited to your interests. You’ll be getting the real UGA experience from someone who’s deeply involved in student life.

Describe your college experience

While I was accepted to UGA as a freshman, I actually started out at Georgia State University and transferred to UGA as a sophomore. I’ve loved it here, though, there’s such a huge variety of ways to get involved and types of people here! Athens is also a great community with a lot of local fun activities.

Tip for future students

No one’s life is actually as put together as it seems. It may seem like everyone has found their perfect place as a freshman, but truthfully it takes everyone time to find where they fit in.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been “The Sustainable Business,” which is a class I’m taking right now. It’s a seminar style class in which we discuss various sustainable businesses and how we can build businesses that help better society.

Career goals

I hope to both continue my work in real estate as well as start my own business.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is to go to the gym​/​on a run, then go hang out with some friends at one of our apartments and grab some food from Cali n Tito’s.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite place on campus is definitely Terry College (shameless business plug!). The building is so gorgeous and kind of makes you feel like you’re in Oxford. Inside is always buzzing with excitement and people coming up with new ideas.
