Describe your college experience

My time at Michigan has truly been amazing. At first, I was nervous that being so close to my hometown would not provide me with the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. After coming to Michigan, I was challenged academically and forced to meet new people and create new experiences. I can say that Michigan has contributed to my growth as a person tremendously. Being in a competitive environment, finding my people, and enjoying all the fun aspects such as gamedays and other social events has made this the best university experience I could ever ask for.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip is not to give up on extracurriculars. Michigan is very competitive even for clubs and can often involve applying to the same one multiple times. It can feel discouraging, but it's worth it to keep trying and work on these skills. These are places to make your best friends and connect with alumni for your future career.

Favorite class

My favorite class at the university of michigan has been the psych seminar I was able to take my freshman year. Learning about emerging adulthood (an age I am at) and how environmental changes affect you helped me deal with changes in my life and how to adapt, in a smaller class environment. My professor was very welcoming outside of academics and offered to help me in other areas of my academic career.

Career goals

I hope to go into Healthcare Consulting.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love to hang out with friends and grab dinner at some of the amazing restaurants on campus (Sadako sushi, my personal favorite) as well as spend time on my front porch on my off campus housing playing games outside or spikeball in the Law Quad.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite place on campus has to be the Undergraduate Library (the UGLI). This is such a collaborative space that students get to meet for clubs and study for exams. It has been a comfort space for me in stressful times such as finals, and I have created some great memories pulling all-nighters with friends. On top of that, many professional fraternities host events such as DEM's 24-hour challenge.
