Outgoing biology major who knows all the best spots and parts of CU Boulder!

Hello! I'm Stella, a Biology and Spanish double major on a pre-medical track. At first I was scared to move across the country for college, but CU Boulder quickly turned into my new home. I was rapidly immersed in all sorts of fun clubs and events that I had always wanted to try, but never had had the opportunity to. Around campus I am usually in the rock climbing gym, on the field playing games with friends, or curled up in a hammock between trees. When I'm not on campus you'll probably find me hiking up in the mountains just a quick bike ride from campus! I'd be honored to show you around and give you the inside scoop about what it's really like here, including all the fun activities as well as the best study spots around campus!

Describe your college experience

So far I have had an amazing transition to college. I was not without worries in the beginning, but this place has truly became a second home for me. There is so much to do, so many opportunities, and if things do get difficult or you are snuggling for any reason, there are so many resources to help you.

Tip for future students

I would recommend not buying as much as you think you might need/want before getting to college. You can always buy it when you get there, and you don't really know a lot of things you need until you're there.

Favorite class

Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology is my favorite class because I get to learn about how the basis of life works and I have really great professors!

Career goals

After college I plan to go to med-school to become some type of doctor and also be able to do research hopefully on Alzheimer's Disease or Cancer. I also want to be part of Doctors Without Borders to travel the world and help people without access to healthcare.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal night is doing a sunset hike up the flatirons with some of my friends, then going back to one of our dorms to craft and watch a movie.

High school or secondary school

Arlington High School

Favorite spot on campus

Farrand Field is my favorite spot on campus because I am constantly out there with my friends playing spike ball, throwing a frisbee, or some other fun activity!

Meeting point

Dalton Trumbo Fountain Court on the University of Colorado Boulder Campus
