Optimistic computer science major with powerful college insight
Hello! I'm Kai, a junior studying computer science and Portuguese studies! I've lived in Utah my whole life. I have loved college so far, and I'm excited to share what I've found to be the best way to maximize your college experience. I'm often on campus either going to class or working as a TA, but during my free hours I like to golf (I'm actually pretty good), watch movies, and hang out with friends! College can be stressful, but turning that stress into motivation is a lesson to be applied not only to school, but to life!

Describe your college experience
It has been an amazing experience. I've gained new friends, learned how to learn and improve, and become a better person. These years have been a blast and I love having a schedule. I also like having a goal like a bachelors degree.
Tip for future students
Don't stress too much about classes that you aren't very interested in. Have fun, explore, and try new things that you may enjoy. You never know what could be your passion that you haven't found yet.
Favorite class
Function Fitness because it started my day off right, and helped me a learn a lot about fitness and how to have fun working out for a lifetime.
Career goals
Get a job as a computer programmer or AI engineer, and continue to help improve the growing technology we have.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Either going out to dinner with friends or staying home, eating food, and watching TV.
High school or secondary school
Westlake High School
Favorite spot on campus
Probably any floor that's not the main floor in the Wilkinson Center. It's close to food, but the other floors aren't very busy which is nice.
Meeting point
Joseph F. Smith Building Courtyard on the Brigham Young University campus
