I was able to participate in a musical written by another NYU student. We performed in Florida, St. Louis, and at 54 Below! I’ve also been a part of the creative writing club and volunteered with the Democratic Party.

Describe your college experience

I grew up in a really small town in Ohio, so my family thought it was crazy that I wanted to move to NYC for my degree. It was hard at first to adjust, but NYU really helped answer all my questions and supported me through this process. I focus on my academics, but I think it is equally important to be involved on and off campus in order to make the most of your experience!

Tip for future students

Try new things! You will only be able to know what you truly like once you’ve experienced it. Go to that club meeting or attend the study group. You never know where and when you’ll meet your closest friends.

Favorite class

Introduction to Marketing! I loved learning about the psychology behind marketing choices and how they persuade the consumer.

Career goals

I hope to work at a publishing house to pursue marketing.
