Describe your college experience

My college experience at NYU has been exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Transitioning to college in New York City was definitely an adjustment, but it quickly pushed me to become more independent, organized, and confident. I’ve enjoyed being surrounded by motivated students, interesting classes, and so many opportunities both on campus and throughout the city. So far, I’ve really appreciated the balance between academics, student life, and exploring NYC. Studying business at NYU has given me the chance to learn from great professors, meet people with different backgrounds, and get involved in a fast-paced environment that is both inspiring and supportive.

Tip for future students

One tip I would give future NYU students is to be open-minded and take advantage of everything the school and city have to offer. NYU can feel big at first, so it’s important to put yourself out there, join clubs, meet new people, and explore different opportunities early on. I also wish I had known that it’s normal for the transition to take time. Living and studying in New York City is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming at first. Once you find your routine and your community, NYU becomes a really rewarding place to learn, grow, and build independence.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been my business class because it helped me understand how companies make decisions in the real world. I liked that the material felt practical and connected to things happening outside the classroom, especially in a city like New York where there are so many business and internship opportunities nearby. I also enjoyed getting to work with other students, hear different perspectives, and apply what we were learning to real examples. It made the class feel engaging and useful beyond just the assignments.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career in business, potentially in finance, marketing, consulting, or entrepreneurship. I’m still exploring different paths, but I’m interested in work that is fast-paced, collaborative, and allows me to solve real-world problems.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be spending time with friends somewhere in the city, whether that’s trying a new restaurant, walking around a different neighborhood, or going to a fun event. One of my favorite parts about NYU is that there is always something to do in New York City, even on a quiet night.
