I have been a life long OU fan, and almost went to OSU until I was accepted into OU. I’m going into my senior year, and have lived off campus for the last 3 years. There has only been one class I didn’t like during my time at OU, and I have gotten along with almost all of my professors. I grew up in a town of 250 people and graduated with 16 kids in my high school class

Describe your college experience

The freshman year is the hardest if you are leaving home for the first time, especially if you get a bad roommate, but after the first month you get used to it. OU has camp crimson the week before classes start and that will help you to meet people that are feeling the same way you are and give you friends to rely on in college

Tip for future students

Try not to live in walker or couch because they are the worst dorms, if you are in those ones make sure to stay with your laundry because people will take it out of the washer and leave it sopping wet on top of the dryer. Also make sure to get a dehumidifier regardless of what dorm you’re in because they all get humid.

Favorite class

I loved sociology, and French. Both the professors in these classes worked with students on any personal problems they had and almost all of the exams and quizzes were open book or online.

Career goals

I plan on teaching at my old high school and giving students the same encouragement that I had in school.

Ideal way to spend a free night

If it is a Saturday, I always tried to go to whatever sporting event was going on or go to campus corner if you are over 21, any week night I would be doing homework or playing videos games or watching tv.
