Describe your college experience
My transition to college was somewhat smooth. My family came with me to move me into my dorm freshman year. It was one of the most excited I have ever been in my life. The first couple of weeks was a little rough because I did not know anyone but I joined to clubs and got to know my roommates a little better. I am now going into my 6th semester with my same roommate from freshman year that has become my best friend. The transition can be overwhelming at first because it is a huge shift from high school, but going out of your comfort zone and putting yourself out there can help smooth the transition.
Tip for future students
Some of my major tips is first to go to Get on Board Day. It's a day where all the clubs and organizations set up on the quad and you can get to learn about all the different organizations at UA. Also, writing your notes can be helpful. A lot of students type their notes on their laptops, but I have found that writing my notes with pen and paper help me excel in the class better.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Psychology 101. This was one of my smaller classes which is why I think it is at the top if my list for favorite classes. I like smaller classes better than bigger ones. I think I stay more engaged in small classes. I also loved the curriculum for Psychology 101. I have never taken a psych class before this one so learning about new things was very exciting for me.
Career goals
I plan to go to graduate school after college. I am not sure what I want to go to grad school for or where I want to go. I have been thinking about either law school or possibly going the psychology route and getting a phd in clinical psychology.
Ideal way to spend a free night
If I have a free night I typically cook myself dinner because I enjoy cooking. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. After dinner, I will get ready for bed and either read a book or put on a movie. I like having a laid back and chill free night.
