Describe your college experience
Transitioning to MIT was definitely challenging, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. The pace is fast, and I’ve learned how important it is to manage my time, ask for help, and collaborate with others. Beyond classes, I’ve gotten involved in Sigma Chi, which has been one of the highlights of my experience. Every semester has pushed me to grow both academically and personally.
Tip for future students
Don’t compare yourself to everyone around you. MIT is full of incredibly talented people, and it’s easy to feel behind. Focus on learning, be proactive about attending office hours, and get involved outside the classroom through research, clubs, or projects. The opportunities here are amazing if you’re willing to take initiative.
Favorite class
8.022 – Physics II: Electricity and Magnetism. I loved how it connected mathematical theory with physical intuition. Topics like Maxwell’s equations, electromagnetic waves, and special relativity completely changed the way I think about physics, and the course strengthened both my problem-solving skills and my appreciation for the subject.
Career goals
After college, I hope to work as an electrical engineer developing cutting-edge technologies while continuing to deepen my understanding of physics. I’m especially interested in quantum technologies, computing, and advanced hardware systems, and I’d like to contribute to solving challenging engineering problems with real-world impact.
Ideal way to spend a free night
A great night for me is grabbing dinner with friends, working out, or skateboarding around Boston when the weather is nice. If I’m staying in, I enjoy watching engineering or automotive videos, learning something new, or just relaxing after a busy week.
