Describe your college experience

College was an amazing transition, something I was afraid of, but ending up being the best experience. I moved in with 12 girls and made best friends immediately, school was hard and demanding and a harsh adjustment to high school, but I was up for the challenge. I wanted to be involved in sports so I tried out for Women's Club Soccer and the Ski and Snowboard Team. I made both and found great friends and a competitive atmosphere that I was looking for. School became much more interesting once my general education classes were done, I studied abroad in Madrid and found their school just as rigorous and interesting to see political science from a different perspective. UCSD was an incredible school that I decide to stay and go to Scripps Institution of Oceanography for my master's in Climate Science and Policy.

Tip for future students

Don't be too hard on yourself, but also know balance. Choose your friends, be generous and kind. Work hard at school, work hard on your relationships with mentors and professors. Weak ties are the best connections. Jump in the ocean any chance you get.

Favorite class

Physical Oceanography

Career goals

I hope to become a climate science researcher and study textile waste. I would love to be a PhD candidate or work for an NGO abroad. I love bridging the gap between science and policy and working with people to create meaningful change.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is with my friends for a sunset dip at Sunset Cliffs in Point Loma with La Perla burritos. Then coming to my house and crafting with my friends, thrift flipping and making jewelry and then walking to get ice cream at Stella Jeans!
