Describe your college experience
It's been a great experience so far! MIT is close enough to home that I can visit when I want to, but far enough away that I've been able to enjoy the full college experience. I adjusted to the pace and style of classes during my first year, and since then I've learned so much both inside and outside the classroom. I've also had the opportunity to travel to new places through study abroad programs, which have made my time at MIT even more memorable.
Tip for future students
Make sure to prioritize building friendships early on, whether that's through your living community, a club you join, or Greek life. Having a strong support system before diving into the MIT lifestyle can make a huge difference on the rest of your time here.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been biochemistry (7.05) because I learned so much about the causes behind certain diseases, and it's truly opened my eyes to the science behind modern medicines. I've even been able to apply what I learned in this class to my current internship!
Career goals
I hope to work in industry after graduation, ideally at a biotech company in the Boston area. I've also recently started thinking about pursuing a master's degree, but I'm still deciding if it's the right path for me.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Get together with friends and watch a movie OR get froyo and take a stroll along the esplanade (path along the Charles River).
