Describe your college experience

My college experience has been a roller-coaster like for many others, but I would not trade it for the world. I have been granted the opportunity to take such invigorating courses, meet intelligent individuals, and explore my interests within and outside of acadamics.

Tip for future students

Push your boundaries and stretch yourself past comfortability! College is a time of exploration and discovery, and to fully gain the most of out your time here you need to assert yourself. I would recommend trying a sport, joining a club, talking with professors and peers, simply making yourself present.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Social Welfare Practice 1, but I am biased when I say that as it is one of the foundational classes within my major. While I was already admitted into the Social Welfare program when I took this course, the class solidified my interest in pursuing a career in social work.

Career goals

After I graduate from my undergrad in 2027, I am planning on getting my master's in social work right immediately. I then want to work with either the Department of Children, Youth, and Families as a case manager, or at a Shelter for Unhoused Youth and Families doing similar work.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love spending time with my loved ones during my spare time. Life can be hectic, so I always try to prioritize seeing them when I can. This looks like seeing a movie, getting dinner, playing games, or hosting a craft night at my apartment.

High school or secondary school

Lakewood High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus has to be the waterfront near the fisheries building. Whether it is day or night, the view is gorgeous. Plus, there is Saint Bread and Agua Verde right there, which are both places I highly recommend checking out if you're looking for a place to eat. I love walking around the water with a friend, or having sometime with myself sitting on a bench simply enjoying the view.

Meeting point

The Statue of George Washington
