Describe your college experience
My college experience has been defined by stepping outside of my comfort zone, balancing academics with leadership, creative pursuits, and community involvement. As a student, I've learned how to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt quickly to new environments. Through tutoring, dance instruction, and various campus activities, I've developed strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others learn and feel welcome. The transition to college was both exciting and challenging. Moving from a structured high school environment to a more independent setting taught me how to be self-motivated, resourceful, and confident in unfamiliar situations. It pushed me to build new friendships, explore new interests, and grow into someone who enjoys meeting people and sharing experiences - qualities that naturally translate into being an engaging and approachable tour guide.
Tip for future students
I wish I'd known that college isn't just about academics - it's about the people you meet and the experiences you create. Get involved early, don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, and remember that it's okay not to have a perfect plan. Some of the best opportunities come from simply being curious and saying yes.
Favorite class
My favorite class was ENGR 306 because it completely changed the way I think about innovation, leadership, and building ideas into reality. The course emphasized that capital isn't just money, it also includes human, intellectual, cultural, and social capital, and challenged us to think about how meaningful ventures are created. I loved the combination of entrepreneurship, teamwork, personal reflection, and real-world problem-solving, which made it one of the most impactful classes I've taken at Stanford.
Career goals
After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in entrepreneurship and innovation, building projects that create meaningful impact. I'm especially interested in combining creativity, business, and human connection, and I hope to eventually launch ventures of my own while continuing to learn from diverse experiences and communities.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night tends to combine creativity and connection - grabbing dinner with friends, working on a mosaic or other art project, dancing, or exploring a new spot around campus.
