Describe your college experience

When I came to UCF in the fall of 2024, I got to experience the college life such as learning about the type of clubs they offer, Greek life, famous traditions such as Spirit Splash, Pegasus Palooza, Homecoming, and exploring internships and jobs too. There are so many ways you can get involve in anything and make new friends. There is also tailgates and football games which are popular to attend during the fall semester of college and learn more about the UCF life. Outside of UCF, Orlando is a very big city and plenty of things to do. Many people would go to theme parks like Disney, Universal and can even get ticket discounts at the UCF student union. Throughout education, I have been taking challenging classes that allows me to focus on my time management and pace in order to build confidence and stability through my classes.

Tip for future students

The tips I would recommend for future students: if they ever struggle in a class, always go to SARC/SI tutoring. I always go there and they help so much. Go to your professor or your TA's office hours which they will also help you with anything. Always go to class even if it is not mandatory because some professors will say something super important that you need to know and they may not post it on their announcements in canvas. I also would use a planner as well or get a calendar and put it on your wall and write reminders, etc.

Favorite class

My favorite class was anatomy. Although I did struggle with the class due to so much content, the teacher was very entertaining about the topics we learn. I also went to SI tutoring and the tutor was extremely helpful that I started passing exams right after I failed the first one. It was very interesting to learn so much about the human body and how it functions and affects us.

Career goals

After graduating with bachelors, I am going to take a gap year and head into grad school to pursue a masters either in counseling or education. I am wishing to be a mental health counselor in pediatrics. My dream is to work with children and make sure they are healthy and strong as we want them to be.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night: watch TV, listen to music, study if needed, read a book, go out to try new food places.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spots on campus are the gym and the library. I like to work out often so it improves my mood whenever I'm stressing out on classes and the library is where I can focus and study in my own space!!
