Describe your college experience
My transition to college was rocky at first—I remember feeling overwhelmed by the new environment and unsure of where I fit in. It took time to find friends, routines, and a sense of belonging. But gradually, like so many people I’ve met along the way, I began to carve out my place. I discovered communities that made me feel supported, found my academic passions, and started building a lifestyle that genuinely reflects who I am. That journey—though challenging at the start—taught me how important it is to be patient with yourself, stay open to new experiences, and trust that things will fall into place.
Tip for future students
One tip I’d give to future students is to embrace the awkward beginnings—seriously. Everyone’s trying to find their footing, so don’t stress if things don’t click right away. Say yes to random events, sit next to someone new in class, and try out clubs even if you’re unsure. I wish I’d known that it’s totally normal for things to take time, and that eventually, you’ll find your people, your rhythm, and a version of college life that feels authentically yours.
Favorite class
Okay, I might be a little biased… but Public Policy 201 has been my favorite class so far! It gave me a whole new perspective on how government works and how real change can happen through policy. The discussions were dynamic, the topics felt relevant, and it really helped shape my interest in making a difference through public service. Plus, the energy in that class was unmatched!
Career goals
After college, I plan to attend law school with the goal of pursuing a career in public service. I’m passionate about using the law to create more equitable communities and advocate for those whose voices often go unheard. Whether it's working in government, policy, or advocacy, I hope to build a career centered around service and impact.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is having a game night with friends—laughing over board games or card games, sharing snacks, and just enjoying each other’s company. It’s a fun, low-key way to build community and unwind after a busy day.
