Describe your college experience

My transition to college wasn't the easiest. Growing up surrounded by my family and close friends, adjusting to a new environment was challenging at first. However, as I became more involved in the GW community and met new people, I stepped out of my shell, built meaningful friendships, and became more confident. My college experience has helped me grow both personally and academically, teaching me independence, resilience, and the importance of embracing new opportunities.

Tip for future students

One tip I would give future students is to be open to new experiences and not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. College is a time to meet new people, explore different interests, and discover more about yourself. Getting involved on campus, asking for help when needed, and creating a balance between academics and personal life can make the college experience much more rewarding.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has to be Migrants in the city (GEOG 1000). I enjoyed this class because it allowed me to learn about the experiences of migrants and how factors such as geography, culture, and policies shape their lives while also getting to explore DC.

Career goals

I hope to go to Medical School and become a family physician.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is taking a scenic walk by the national mall or relaxing by watching a movie with friends.

High school or secondary school

Paint Branch High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is Kogan Plaza as I can study with my friends while enjoying fresh air.

Meeting point

Kogan Plaza Fountain on the George Washington University campus
