I am a junior at the University of Michigan studying business originally from Denver, Colorado. I enjoy being outdoors, skiing, and rooting for Denver sports. On campus, I am involved in a couple finance organizations and club golf. I have interned in finance and will be in San Francisco this upcoming summer.

Describe your college experience
Coming from Denver, I did not know exactly what college was going to be like especially being so many miles away from home. However, my transition was made a lot easier because of many opportunities there are to meet new people and join organizations, especially in the first couple of weeks. When I joined organizations, upperclassmen were generous to take me under their wing and show me the ropes of both the University and the Business major.
Tip for future students
During my time at Michigan, I've noticed that the University of Michigan is one of the most balanced schools when it comes to athletics, academics, and social life. You'll hear the phrase "Work hard, play hard" and I definetly think finding this mix at Michigan is the key to success. Join student organizations that fit your interests and will help you grow both personally and professionally, but also go watch the wolverines or a concert at the Big House.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been MUSICOL 121 - The Art of Music. Growing up I played the piano and took lessons, but never really learned the history and theory behind the music. This class helped me learn about the different eras of music, and also helped me to get back into playing the piano.

Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night is going downtown in Ann Arbor with some friends. There are so many places to watch a sports game, get dinner, or grab ice cream or dessert.
