Hey everyone! My name is Samay Govindaraju, I'm currently a Freshmen at IU Kelley '29, majoring in Finance, Entrepreneurship & Accounting with Minors in Sports Media and Spanish. I'm involved in a few clubs across campus and I have friends involved in every club or organization you can think of. Describe your college experience

I've loved it so far, I've met so many new people, especially from different parts of the nation. Being from Tampa, I only knew a few people coming here, but you'll realize quickly being a nice person is the key to all success here on campus. I've realized that and made so many friends extremely quickly here.

Tip for future students

Just be normal and be ambitious. Curiosity drives your life here, and being genuine will carry you throughout.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has to have been K201. People say it's extremely hard, but honestly with a little bit of effort and some past familiarity with excel, I was fine with the class. Any bad grades in the class were honestly my mistake.

Career goals

I hope to break into Private Equity, specifically within the realm of Sports and Media production. Financing movies and sports teams acquisitions and operating them to create more yearly revenue is fascinating and exciting to me, and it allows me to flex all three sides of my personality; athletics, business and creative.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I like to have fun hanging out with friends, playing video games, going out to a party, or just meeting new people in new parts of the city.
