I’m Owen and i’m an life-loving, savings-searching Pre-business student at BYU.
Hi guys! My name is Owen and I am a desert traveling, pool loving student here at BYU from Tucson Arizona. Now while it is true that I have never made it through a real winter, I am grateful to try here at the spiritual mountain that is Brigham Young University. I am currently studying Pre-business and am planning to graduate in Global Supply Chain Management. I love the outdoors and much more than that my fiancée to whom I am getting married this upcoming November. Might be a surprise considering I’m only 20 but you know she’s perfect and the FAFSA is a pretty good motivator too. Speaking of love, I love my savior Jesus Christ and am a proud member of his Church.

Describe your college experience
I have had an easy transition into the school aspect of my life. BYU has done a great job helping me meet people through events, clubs, and church. I have many other matters in my life that I am attending to currently like an upcoming wedding and saving money. However, I have felt that the workload of school is consistent with the expectations for BYU and my own future career.
Tip for future students
Plan for the best, prepare for the hardest.
Favorite class
The Eternal Family (Rel 200); I love getting to focus my knowledge and effort on a topic of great importance like Gods plan for us. The class speaks of eternal truths and how we can gain a better access to the saviors power in our families.
Career goals
I hope to join a company in a global supply chain management position. My long term goals are to be the supply chain manager of one of the Church of Jesus Christs of Latter Day Saints nonprofit programs. This would allow me to use my education here at BYU aligned with my values.
Ideal way to spend a free night
First, I would meet up with some of my close friends. Once all together we would go to a festival or concert here in Provo or down in Salt Lake. After which we would go get some cheap food here on campus or close by and end off the night watching a movie or just talking while playing games.
High school or secondary school
Ironwood Ridge High School
Favorite spot on campus
I love all of the flags in the Marriott school of business. It is a reminder to me that so many people from different backgrounds and cultures have come to BYU. It gives me hope that I can make it through as all those before.
Meeting point
Joseph F. Smith Building Courtyard on the Brigham Young University campus
