I am an outgoing Exerscice Science major who loves being involved on campus

Hi i’m Mollee and I am a sophomore here at Rutgers. I am in the SAS school majoring in exercise science and minoring in health administration. Some of my favorite study spots on campus are Alexander Library, the Starbucks on Livingston and the Cook/Douglass student center. Some organizations and clubs I have been apart of at Rutgers include Phi Sigma Sigma chapter, Sports Unified, and the PT Club. The great thing about Rutgers is they have something for everyone! My favorite food spots on campus are Harvest Cafe, Henry’s Diner and the Starbucks Truck!! I love going to sporting events including football, basketball and baseball. I have really grown to love Rutgers and make it my home and I can’t wait for you to all do the same!

Describe your college experience

My first year in college was a huge change from high school. I love being able to make my own schedule and be independent. The school work is definitely a lot more then high school was but it has helped me a lot to stay on top of studying and home work with my calendar. I have made so many amazing friends and have grown to absolutely love Rutgers and I am so grateful I am able to call it home.

Tip for future students

I wish I knew more about the core circular requirements for the school of arts and sciences. One important tip for incoming students is to make sure you plan in your schedule for bus times. The buses can be unpredictable so I like to leave around 40 minutes before class so I get there on time. Last, I would definitely recommend joining as many clubs and being super involved. School work can be super stressful and clubs and organizations can be a fun way to get your mind off of school!

Favorite class

My favorite class has been general psychology so far because I was able to learn a lot behind stress and how to deal with it and that has really helped me as a college student.

Career goals

After college I hope to apply to PT school and become a physical therapist. I grew up playing sports my whole life and have worked with PTs before when I have an injury and I always have been really interested in helping people and improving their lives.

Ideal way to spend a free night

If I had a free night I would get dinner at honeygrow at the yard and froyo with my friends at 16 Handles on Livingston. Then we would go to the movie theater on campus and see a movie together!

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is Alexander Library. It’s my favorite study spot and a close walk to Panera and the atrium. My friends and I will spend lots of weekends there preparing and studying for midterms and finals.
