I am a senior English major who loves Rutgers and wants to share more about it!
Hello! I'm Annette, a senior English major. I am minoring in Business and Technical Writing. Because I've always been an introvert who is drawn to creative spaces and activities rather than parties or games, Rutgers was not the obvious choice for me, but I've found a lot of what I was looking for here anyway. I am from a local town, and I've really fallen in love with all that this campus has to offer for students like myself. I'm excited to share this knowledge with whoever might be interested.

Describe your college experience
I have very much found my people and social group here at Rutgers. I'd previously attended a small high school and a small women's college, so I'm glad that I can interact with so many different types of people now at a large university.
Tip for future students
I think it is important to set boundaries regarding student involvement. Do things you're interested in, but don't overwhelm yourself with extra leadership experience at the expense of your studies.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Advanced Poetry Writing because it prepared me for the honors thesis I'm currently working on.
Career goals
After college, I hope to pursue law school while also continuing my writing career in poetry.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love reading and watching video essays online. I also enjoy late night runs because I can listen to my music while getting some exercise in.
High school or secondary school
Hillel Yeshiva High School
Previous college
Stern College for Women/Yeshiva University
Favorite spot on campus
I like the learning center located in Academic Building West, because the staff are careful about maintaining and quiet and peaceful place to focus and get work done.
Meeting point
Daniel S. Schanck Observatory
