Describe your college experience
I have had the ups and downs of college. I thought the transition from high school to college was seamless, but it was not. First semester was bumpy, and second semester was great.
Tip for future students
If I were to go back in time and have a sit-down conversation with fresh out of high school Roy, I would tell him to slow down. Take things day by day and appreciate your parents. They do more for you than what meets the eye.
Favorite class
My Kinesiology class. I met some really awesome people and learned about how being physically active is healthy for you now, and down the road.
Career goals
To be honest, I am not sure. I hope to do something that I love and be able to provide for myself and my eventual family.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Fall: Kick back on my recliner with some good food and football on the Tv. Winter: Same as fall, but with football and basketball
High school or secondary school
Somerset High School, Somerset, Texas
Previous college
I was a BlinnTEAM student. The transition wasn't major because you are halfway at A&M. The transition counselors/advisors are super hands on and helpful.
