Virginia Tech
Honest, no-nonsense, current military
Howdy, I'm coming back to Virginia Tech as a second year Industrial & Systems Engineering student from a little break to train in the US Air Force Reserve! I'm generally described as very honest and approachable, so I look to use those qualities and experience to help new students find whether or not Virginia Tech will be the right school for them.

Describe your college experience
I grew up with strict parents who I felt didn't realize how self-sufficient I was, so going to college was the liberation I begged for. It helps you show that the world is truly your oyster and you get as much as you put into it. I put in my heart and soul and have gotten so much in return. I hope to facilitate that experience for others. I generally play that role of facilitator in my frat.
Tip for future students
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Don't get a degree in something "useless" (no guarantee a job is waiting for you on the other side) unless you got a full ride. It's NOT worth it. Also, the food plans are a scam. If you can help not needing to purchase one (unless you got a full ride), DON'T.
Favorite class
Anything not directly involved with your major - variety is the spice of life and you are robbing yourself if you get tunnel visioned on your major and don't give anything else a try. Use electives to spice up your experience here; you need them anyways!
Career goals
AI implementation, management, and/or chaplain
Ideal way to spend a free night
I usually just hang out with my wife or with the frat. Rotting by myself with free time feels so unfulfilling now. It's either hang out with someone or running errands.
