Describe your college experience
I have the special experience of participating in the Summer Engineering Institute program which had me live on campus for 5 weeks before fall quarter started while taking some classes for credit. I got familiar with the campus (it's really big), make friends before classes started, and learn a lot about how to transition into college.
Tip for future students
Look into the general education requirements for each college before submitting the UC application. It can make the difference between finishing college a year early and taking another year's worth of classes. I wish I knew about it more because I would've changed my college, but I made it work.
Favorite class
My favorite class was HUM1 and HUM2 because it was interesting to analyze literature throughout history and see how it connects to modern literature and modern society. The lectures and discussions were the most engaging and involved which I loved.
Career goals
I hope to become an embedded software engineer involved with robotics or automation. I have already looked into jobs around my hometown and San Diego, and I have an idea of my options and how to set myself up for success.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love going to the beach for a walk or just cruising around campus on my skateboard.
High school or secondary school
University High School
Favorite spot on campus
I love having lunch at Goody's market at Marshall college. It's a nice breezy place to chill at and it's nearby the center of campus but it's not filled with people walking to classes. I also like hanging out and just having a coffee at the couches at Senkofa at Eighth college; it's a nice place to just rest before I go back to studying at Revelle.
