Describe your college experience

My transition to college was scary, but so much fun. I have made amazing friends through classes, clubs, dorms, and dinning halls. There are many challenging classes, but working together with classmates makes hard classes more enjoyable. Coming from far away I was scared it would be difficult to find friends, but everyone was so open and welcoming and I was able to create my own community.

Tip for future students

The STEM "weed out" courses are extremely difficult with low average grades, so make sure to use all your resources like CLUE tutoring and office hours. Making friends is easiest at the beginning of school before friend groups have fully formed. Don't take super challenging classes your first quarter! Make sure to enjoy college and ease yourself into it because it is a big change.

Favorite class

General Biology (BIOL 180) because it was an interesting and not overly difficult STEM class and I was able to make a lot of friends in the class!

Career goals

I am hoping to go to med school after college and become a dermatologist!

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love to just hangout with friends on my free nights and play games or go out into the city!

High school or secondary school

Carlmont High School in Belmont CA

Meeting point
