Describe your college experience
My transition to UCSD was exciting but also an adjustment. Moving from Bakersfield to San Diego meant adapting to a larger campus and faster pace, but I found support through my classes, peers, and campus resources. So far, my experience has been really rewarding—I’ve met great people, grown academically as a Political Science/Pre-Law major, and enjoyed being part of a diverse and welcoming community.
Tip for future students
One tip I’d share with future students is to not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone—getting involved on campus is the best way to make friends and feel connected. I also wish I had known how many resources UCSD offers, from tutoring to student organizations, because using them early on makes the transition so much easier.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Intro to Legal Reasoning because it really helped shape my knowledge about law and it brought out my passion for legal studies.
Career goals
After college, I hope to attend law school at Stanford and become a corporate or criminal attorney.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is relaxing with friends—maybe getting dessert in La Jolla or hanging out on campus. I also enjoy quiet nights catching up on shows or studying at a café, depending on my mood. For me, it’s all about balancing downtime with connecting to the UCSD community.
