Northeastern University
Hi! My name is Aria, and I’m a transfer student at Northeastern University
I am a second year Mechanical Engineering student (minor in Robotics). Although I’m new to Northeastern, this is my third year living in Boston, so I’ve had plenty of time to get to know the city. I’m excited to help you explore both the campus and the surrounding area, whether you’re looking for study spots or hidden gems

Describe your college experience
My college experience has been a unique journey of growth and exploration. I started at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where I built a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, and later transferred to Northeastern University to take advantage of broader academic and co-op opportunities. Being in Boston throughout has allowed me to stay connected to the city while experiencing two very different campus cultures.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip for future students is to stay curious and open to new opportunities, whether it’s joining a club, trying out a co-op in a different industry, or just exploring Boston.
Favorite class
One of my favorite classes so far has been Cornerstone 1+2. It combined mechanical design, electronics, and programming. I enjoyed building and testing real prototypes, and it gave me a clear sense of how my major and minor come together in practical applications.
Career goals
After college, I aim to pursue a career in robotics or mechanical design, ideally working on cutting-edge technologies that blend mechanical systems with intelligent automation.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night is a mix of relaxation and good company, grabbing dinner with friends at a local spot in Boston, followed by a walk/run along the Charles River or through the city streets.

Previous college
Wentworth Institute of Technology, I transferred to Northeastern University from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where I began my journey in mechanical engineering. The transition allowed me to expand my academic and professional opportunities, especially in areas like robotics and co-op experiences that Northeastern is well known for. While both schools are in Boston, transferring gave me a fresh perspective on campus life, resources, and a broader network of peers and faculty in my field.
