Hi! I’m Anwita, a student at University of California San Diego majoring in Political Science. I’m originally from Orange County and now living in San Diego, where I’ve fallen in love with the city’s beaches, food, and culture. I’m passionate about meeting new people, learning about different perspectives, and helping others fall in love with San Diego just like I have. Describe your college experience
My transition to college was a rocky one - I think for most it's difficult to live on your own for the first time and be thrown into a new environment. Making the most of my experience by joining student organizations and increasing my surface area of meeting new people has been invaluable to me and is where I have found the most value in my experience here.
Tip for future students
I wish that I had relaxed more before college! Things will all fall into place and you will find your people and your place. As for UCSD in specific, I wish that I had become more involved sooner. Joining student organizations is especially important at UCSD, and meeting different types of people is the best way to both find your friends and find yourself during this new time of your life.
Favorite class
My favorite class I have taken here has been PHIL10 - Introduction to Logic. It introduced to me a new way of thinking and breaking down arguments, and the professor and support was incredible.
Career goals
I hope to attend law school and become an attorney!
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is either inside studying with my roommates, getting froyo, watching a new movie with my friends, or going out!
