Describe your college experience

I was first attending the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, but found that it wasn't a great fit for me. I moved back home and started community college at Everett, then to Edmonds while waiting to hear back about my acceptance from the UW. Transferring has taken some hard work but it really paid off!

Tip for future students

Don't fall behind in your studies or homework. If you keep up on it, you'll be a lot less stressed and also have more time for your personal life and friendships, which are equally as important.

Favorite class

My favourite class has been Majors Animal. I was able to do field labs and work on actual research to benefit the Edmonds community. The teacher was also super cool and supportive.

Career goals

I hope to partake in independent research specifically focusing on either marine mammals or deep sea organisms. I would also love to be a journalist specializing in marine biology topics.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love listening to and playing music so my ideal night would be a concert or local show or just jamming out with some friends.

Favorite spot on campus

My favourite spot on campus is the cherry blossom courtyard. It's so beautiful in the spring but all year round it's a peaceful area.
