Describe your college experience

College was an extremely tough transition coming from Ohio to New York City. Columbia in particular is full of big personalities and are extremely cultured, and so the first couple years I felt like I was playing catch-up. But I feel like this environment helped me find myself and curate my interests!

Tip for future students

Make sure you do your readings in class, as Columbia students love to talk about intellectual pursuits and you bond over the Core Curriculum. Explore your tastes, whether it be music, film, fashion, and curate yourself to be the best version of yourself.

Favorite class

Literature Humanities and Contemporary Civilizations, both a part of the Core Curriculum, changed my life and the way I think about the world. I became an English major because of Lit Hum and love philosophy now because of CC!

Career goals

I'm going to Columbia Law School to pursue being a public interest attorney.
