General Info + Hidden Gems
I am an English major at LSU. I like to write poetry and short stories, watch anime and horror movies, and spend time with my dog, Dulce. I want to share my campus and experience (including things they won’t show you on traditional tours!). I will tailor each tour to your specific questions.

Describe your college experience
Despite coming from homeschool, my transition to college felt more or less seamless. I used Welcome Week to learn the lay of the land and see what kind of resources were available. Since then, I have made the campus my home, getting to know staff and faculty even beyond the professors I’ve had for courses. I know the best study spots, the best picnic spots, the best nap spots, the best food spots, and more.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip is to build strong relationships with your professors. This means talking with them before or after class, meeting with them in their office hours, asking and answering questions during class; they will be more willing to work with you should you fall behind.
Favorite class
My favorite class was Disability in Literature. The professor (Richard Godden) is easily the best professor I have ever had, and he made already fascinating content even more engaging. I feel like that class made me think more deeply than any class I’ve had previously or since.
Career goals
I hope to find a stable writing job, and supplement it with other remote jobs such as transcription, translation, editing, reviewing, or something similar.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night would be watching a movie with my dog, a blanket, and a bowl of popcorn.
High school or secondary school
I have been homeschooled by my mom since kindergarten in Gonzales, Louisiana. This included Classical Conversations Co-op, Regina Caeli hybrid, Homeschool Connections online, and dual enrollment at River Parish Community College.
