Friendly Human Biology student passionate about the UCSD experience

Hi! I'm a Human Biology student at UC San Diego with a passion for helping others and getting involved on campus. Outside of class, you'll usually find me volunteering, working, staying active, or spending time with friends. I love trying new things, whether it's taking recreational swimming classes, learning to surf, or exploring San Diego. I'm excited to share my experiences and help future Tritons feel welcome and confident about starting their own journey at UCSD.

Describe your college experience

My transition to UC San Diego was exciting but also challenging. Adjusting to a large campus while balancing rigorous coursework, work, and extracurriculars took time. As I became more involved through Housing, Recreation, Weeks of Welcome, Emerging Leaders, and student organizations, I found a strong sense of community and confidence. Looking back, the challenges helped me grow both personally and professionally. My experience has shown me that everyone finds their place at UCSD differently, and I'm excited to help future Tritons feel welcomed, supported, and confident as they begin their own journey.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip is to get involved early. Join student organizations, attend campus events, and don't be afraid to try something new. It's one of the best ways to meet people, build a community, and make UCSD feel like home.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. I'm passionate about patient care and want to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare while continuing to learn and grow throughout my career.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is hanging out with friends, whether that's trying a new restaurant, going to the beach, having a movie night, or just talking and catching up. I enjoy making memories and taking a break from the busy pace of college life.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the pool. I'm excited to start a new journey by taking recreational swimming classes, and I hope to learn surfing as well. It's a place that reminds me to step outside my comfort zone, stay active, and continue trying new things while enjoying everything UCSD has to offer.
